  1. Physical activity is a critical component of energy balance, factors such as weight, diet and physical activity influence health.
  2. Physical activity is associated with a lower risk of colon and breast cancer and there is great evidence of that.
  3. Several studies have also reported links between physical activity and reduced risk of endometrial cancer (lining of the uterus), lung and prostate.
  4. Studies funded by the National Cancer Institute today are exploring the role of physical activity on cancer survival and quality of life, the risk of cancer, and the needs of the populations most at risk.
