PROSTATE CANCER GUIDE

Guide and general recommendations for a program of resistance muscle in prostate cancer

Type: strength endurance. Each muscle group you associate the stretch corresponding to heat, maintain and improve flexibility. Legs, chest, back, arms and abdomen: the following muscle groups work. Begin work on the larger muscles continuing to gauge the lower. Intersperse the muscles of the legs to the trunk musculature.
Frequency: 3 sessions / week with a day off between sessions
Intensity: 60% -70% of 1RM
Evaluated using the indirect calculation of the 1RM (repetition maximum). In the early stages supervision is essential
Duration: 8-10 years / series of 2-3 / 8 to 12 repetitions with 60 to pause 90 seconds between sets and exercises. Progression will increase in this order: reps, sets and weight. In the initial phase, the Work is 1 set of 8 repetitions at 50% of 1RM. We are progressing with increasing reps and sets. Then we increase the weight 10% of 1RM declining, in turn, a number and the number of repetitions. Progression to continue reaching the maintenance phase.
(1) In deconditioned patients it is preferable to a daily low-intensity work short duration. (2) not exceed 70% of the 1RM for the possibility of increasing the level of testosterone blood. (3) Initial support professional is essential to define and display each exercise, focusing on: • The position. Definition and demonstration of how to place the body of globally hygienically. Analytical work segment involvement. • The biomechanics of contraction. Description and exemplification of how to start, progress and complete range of motion, without exceeding the joint limits joint work and without causing blockages. • The respiratory function. Involvement of respiratory function in a natural way and hygienic synchronized with inspiration and expiration concentric contraction with the eccentric recovery. (4) The increase in weekly weight does not exceed 10% of 1RM. (5) The maintenance phase will not exceed the threshold of 3 sets of 12 repetitions 70% of 1RM. At this level, the recalculation of the 1RM for calibration is recommended.
